Carrie Muench, MD

Specialty: PEDIATRICS, PRIMARY CARE SERVICES

Medical School: University of Minnesota

Board Certifications: American Board of Pediatrics

Personal Information (Biography): Carrie grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and graduated cum laude from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN, in 1994 after earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Before starting medical school, she took a year off to work at a group home for young adults with cognitive and physical disabilities. Dr. Muench then graduated from medical school at the University of Minnesota in 1999, and completed her pediatric residency primarily at the University of MN, finishing the last portion in Grand Rapids, MI in 2002 while her husband completed his medical training. Carrie worked as a pediatrician in a private pediatric practice in Grand Rapids, MI from 2002 until 2004, then returned back to the Twin Cities and joined the Wayzata Children’s Clinic team in 2004. She took time away from the medical field in 2013 to stay home full-time and manage the needs of her busy family, but came back to our clinic in 2017. Dr. Muench is Board Certified in Pediatrics, enjoys seeing patients of all ages, and her clinical interests include infant/child development, behavioral concerns, and sports medicine. Carrie lives in Chanhassen with her husband Carter, and kids Ellie, Graham, & Ava. They spend their free time at kids' sports activities (usually involving a pool, hockey rink, or soccer field), and at their family cabin in Wisconsin.
