Personal Information (Biography): Dr. McHugh is a native of Oklahoma City who migrated northward to join Wayzata Children's Clinic in 1983. He attended Rice University in Houston, Texas before entering the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Upon graduating in 1979, he began residency training at the University of Colorado health Sciences Center in Denver, completing an internship in internal medicine and then three years of pediatric training. He is board-certified in pediatrics, is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society, and completed requirements for voluntary re-certification in 1997. Dr. McHugh was previously on the board of directors at St. David's Child Development and Family Services. He also teaches regularly at Children's Hospitals and Clinics. He and his wife Linda have two daughters and live in Chaska. In their spare time, they enjoy camping, golf, and home improvement projects. Dr. McHugh sees patients in Chaska.
